Complete electrical installation for a 3,000 m2 industrial warehouse

The challenge

A Valencian industrial company required a complete electrical installation for their new 3,000 m2 warehouse on an industrial estate in Valencia. The production activity demanded an installed capacity of over 200 kW, with three-phase power requirements for heavy machinery, single-phase circuits for lighting and office equipment, and security and emergency systems.

The project had to fully comply with the R.E.B.T. (Low Voltage Electrotechnical Regulation), including the applicable complementary technical instructions for industrial premises. The load distribution required a detailed study to avoid phase imbalances and ensure protection selectivity in the event of a short circuit or overcurrent.

The execution timeline was a critical factor: the company needed to begin production on a date committed to their clients. Any delay in the electrical installation would halt the commissioning of the entire warehouse.

The solution

Acoval’s technical department prepared the complete electrical project, from supply connection sizing to final circuit distribution. The main and secondary electrical panels were designed and manufactured entirely in our own workshop, which allowed construction to proceed in parallel with the civil works and reduce on-site execution times.

The installation includes reactive energy compensation via automatic capacitor bank, reducing the electricity bill and avoiding penalties from the distribution company. Each circuit has selective differential and magnetothermal protection, and a zone-based consumption monitoring system was installed to help the company identify areas of highest energy expenditure.

LED industrial lighting with presence control in transit areas, emergency lighting in compliance with regulations, and transient overvoltage protection systems were also installed. The installation was completed in 6 weeks, within the planned timeframe, passing the Authorised Control Body (OCA) inspection without observations. The company began its production activity on the planned date.
